KATIE PEARL
Katie Pearl is a collaborative theater maker specializing in alternative, often site-specific new work. As director, dramaturg, or performer, she has joined musicians, visual artists, and others to create provocative, award-winning work in cities such as New York, Austin, Minneapolis, Seattle, and Ithaca. Katie is an alumnus of the Drama League of New York (directing fellow, 2000). She received her degree from the University of Washington before participating in international collaborations with La Fura dels Baus (Barcelona) and Brith Gof (Wales). She trained further at Anne Bogart's SITI (NY) and Tadashi Suzuki's SCOT festival (Toga, Japan).
Katie Pearl will be co-teaching a workshop on Biographical Theater July 11-16, and performing in the OBIE Award-winning NITA & ZITA from July 15-17.
