TATSUYA AOYAGI

Tatsuya Aoyagi is a trained movement performer from Saga, Japan. He is a graduate of Dell' Arte International School of Physical Theatre, and also holds MFA in Theatre from Towson University. He is an experienced fighter/choreographer recognized as an Actor/Combatant from Society of American Fight Directors. He has backgrounds in Japanese traditional arts such as Wado-Ryu Karate and Taiko. In his body where Eastern and Western disciplines meet, he creates unique style of performance. As an actor, his DC credits include Ballad of Yachiyo and The Green Stockings with Tsunami Theatre Company. 

As a founding member of Naoko Maeshiba Performance Collective, he has performed at Baltimore Theatre Project, Millennium Stage at Kennedy Center, Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden.
