WENDY MORTON

Wendy is a director, performer and visual effects artist who lives in the San Francisco Bay Area. With fourteen years of movie and commercial credits, Morton has worked as a puppeteer, set painter and model maker. She has continued throughout that time to create magical and expressive theatre productions exploring unusual visual perspectives with shadow puppetry and projections. At the National Puppetry conference, Morton developed two works. "Portals" performed in NYC at the Here theater and "I Demand to Know" received a grant from the Jim Henson Foundation. Her stunning interpretation of Rudyard Kipling's "The Jungle Book" received an Arlyn award for outstanding design. The animation "Marylou" features Morton's silhouette designs and was shown at the Sundance and Cannes film festivals. Morton also produced a festival called "The Art of Puppetry" in San Francisco.
